List of Labor Unions Representing the Registered Nursing Profession in Canada

Here is a list of labor unions representing members in the registered nursing profession.

The licensed practical nurse may not be a member of a nursing labor union in Canada.

LPN jobs are sometimes unionized with a union that represents allied health care workers or government employees rather than a union that represents nurses spcifically.

The labor unions listed here represent about 62% of the members of the registered nursing profession in Canada.

Since nurses work in a variety of settings and for a variety of employers, nursing unions do not represent all nurses.

Nurses who work in the federal corrections system for example would be unionized under a different union representing federal workers.
